1. Plan Ahead and Give Yourself Extra Time in the Morning, So You’re Not Rushed

To avoid the stress of being late and the dangers of speeding, consider waking up earlier than you need to so you have time to get ready and leave for school in good time. You should also map out your route the night before and give yourself plenty of time to get where you need to go.
2. Obey the Speed Limit, Especially in School Zones and Neighborhoods
With more kids walking and biking to school, it’s important to remember to slow down, especially in areas with lower speed limits. School zones usually have a reduced speed limit during certain hours, so be sure to obey those signs.
